In the summer of 1964, two young boys, one black, one white, who are good friends, experience the change that happens when the law that forbids segregated facilities is passed. Joe, who is white, has always been able to accommodate his black friend Henry. But with the new laws, Joe begins to see the things that really troubled Henry from his point of view.
